Welcome back to Top Startups! Each week, I share whoβs freshly funded by the best investors, and looking to hire.
Before we dive in, hereβs my framework on how to pick a winning startup.Β
Now letβs get into it:
Veed | SaaS | πΈ $35M Series A from Sequoia | 60 employees π€
What they do: Making it easy for consumers and businesses to create and edit stunning videos
What I like: Bootstrapped to profitable $1M ARR in year 1; $7M ARR and $1.5M MAU in year 2; video storytelling = massive & growing market, but most editing tools are notoriously hard to learn; high potential to be Canva for video
Mos | FinTech | πΈ $40M Series B from Sequoia | 40 employees π€
What they do: Building banking for 400K+ students and helping them find scholarships
What I like: One of the few fintechs that do well and do good; attracting young consumers + high retention makes for a supremely good business β I still use my BoA bank account from collegeβ¦ and I donβt even like them π
Cointracker | Crypto | πΈ $100M Series A from Accel, YC | 30 employees π€
What they do: Building crypto portfolio and tax manager
What I like: Solving two big headaches for anyone with $ in crypto: 1) hard to track gains across platforms and chains; 2) even harder to be tax-compliant; they already track $20B+ in asset for 500K+ users; experienced founders
Any of these catch your eye, let me know and I can intro you π
