If the past week has taught us anything, itβs that job risk in Big Tech can be just as high, if not higher than being at a lean fast-growing startup where all hands are required on deck. Here at Top Startups, we avoid bloated teams, and focus on places with career and equity upside.
Here are my favorites this week. Any catch your eye, LMK and I can intro you π
Skio | SaaS | πΈ $3.7M Seed from YC | 25 employees
What they do: Help brands on Shopify sell subscriptions
What I like: Already surpassed $1.5M ARR and growing fast; sweet spot for joining because itβs unlocked product-market-fit but still early enough for huge upside; strong early team from Facebook, Databricks, Square
Mutiny | SaaS | πΈ $50M Series B from Sequoia, YC | 70 employees
What they do: Help businesses grow faster through no-code personalization
What I like: Proven track record of boosting conversions by 30%+ for customers like Carta, Brex, Twilio; checks the three pillars of awesome software: 1. works way better than what most can build in-house; 2. massive market; 3. ROI pays for itself
Cointracker | Crypto | πΈ $100M Series A from Accel, YC at $1.3B valuation | 80 employees π€
What they do: Build crypto portfolio and tax manager
What I like: Solves two big headaches for anyone with $ in crypto: 1. hard to track gains across platforms and chains; 2. even harder to be tax-compliant. They now track $50B+ in assets; led by experienced founders
More goodies: private referrals to top startups π€, salary & equity data π° β I think this is now the largest public database on startup comp; if you find anything better, please share!
π One more thingβ¦.
Iβve helped people negotiate an extra $3M+ π€― with startups. Here are the scripts, strategies and questions that are proven to work β yes, even in a bear market without competing offers. Price to double soon π₯
