What they do: They’ve worked with Figma, Abnormal Security, Instabase, and many other $B+ companies starting in their stealth days. Hiring for a portfolio of startups (consumer, enterprise, crypto, ML)
What I like: Strong track record of incubating hits; you'll get to pick across a portfolio; early enough for massive upside and learning
Temporal | Developer Tool | 💸 $100M Series B from Sequoia, $1.5B valuation | 100 employees 👤
What they do: Building simple open source way to write and run reliable cloud applications
What I like: Beloved by engineers at Coinbase, Netflix, Stripe, Snap, Doordash; an absurd amount of eng time is spent on code reliability, Temporal is focused on removing this plumbing work so eng can focus on building new features
Material Security | Security | 💸 $100M Series C from A16Z, Founders Fund at $1.1B valuation | 45 employees 👤
What they do: Building email security for companies
What I like: Tackles the sweet spot of mission-critical problem outside the competency of most companies; signed up strong roster of customers incl. Databricks, Flexport and Lyft; lean team of < 50 at $1B+ valuation; second-time founders whose last startup was acquired by Dropbox
