Welcome back to Top Startups! Despite the hiring freeze across Big Tech, well-funded startups with lean teams are still actively hiring.ย
Here are my favorites for this week. Any of these catch your eye, let me know and I can intro you ๐:
Greylock Stealth | Consumer, Enterprise, Crypto, ML | ๐ธ $500M Seed fund
What they do: Theyโve worked with Figma, Abnormal Security, Instabase, and many other $B+ companies starting in their stealth days. Hiring for a portfolio of startups (consumer, enterprise, crypto, ML)
What I like: Strong track record of incubating hits; you'll get to pick across a portfolio; early enough for massive upside and learning
Hiring: Eng, product, design, interns/new grads Remote and in SF
ReadMe | Enterprise SaaS | ๐ธ $9M Series A from Accel, YC | 50 employees
What they do: Transform API docs into interactive hubs that help developer communities succeed; used by 3000+ teams including Notion, Scale and Lyft
What I like: Unlocked profitability after its Seed round from YC, using Series A funding to accelerate growth up-market; rare example of fast-growing startup yet light-hearted environmentโฆ I mean just look at their careers page
Retool | SaaS | ๐ธ $45M Series C from Sequoia, YC, $3.2B valuation | 250 employees
What they do: Building the fastest way to make internal apps with no-code
What I like: Two months ago we called Retool one of the few undervalued startups at $1.9B valuation with mid 8-figures in revenue and cash-flow positive; today, theyโre $3.2B!; their slick drag-and-drop interface shrinks development time from weeks into mere hours; I still remember using Retool to build an app because eng team was swamped โ tโwas a magical moment!
Some more goodies: referrals to top startups ๐ค, 1600+ compensation data ๐ฐ and a negotiation service that guarantees higher comp โ
